W.A.L.T:Set smart goals 

My writing goal is to write a variety of simple, compound and complex sentences.

The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because I think that it is good to write in different ways in your stories.

I will accomplish my goal by trying to put this into use in my writing and playing arround with it, plus make sure that I edit it.

My reading goal is to infer meaning in (ideas and information not directly stated in the text across longer, more complex text.

The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because I think that it is good to look more into a book then just read it.

I will accomplish my goal by when I do reading I will look more into the book when I finish a chapter I will try to read slower so I understand more.

My maths goal is to chose the most appropriate stradegy for a given problem.

The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because I think once you know heaps of stratiges you need to know how and when to use them.

I will accomplish my goal by looking over at all my other stratiges I have learnt when I face a hard math problem.

My personal goal is to Focas on the learning intention more.

The reason I have chosen this is because I need to keep my post as much as I can to what we are doing and I can keep up with the standard.

I will accomplish this by checking my post to the citeria every onece in a while I am working on my post.

This week in class we were working on writers notebook. We had to write in our book somethings that we thought were hot and cold. It's funny there is heaps hot and cold stuff you can only think of a little bit when you need it. This is what I thought.

Math test

Monday to Thursday we do a math test we get 3 minutes we have to do 50 basic facts. Then once we have done that we record the date and the score. When we get 50 we move up a level, the levels work like this. A,B,C e.c.t. It is very fun doing fast fire math questions.

Homework

On the weekend there was a  ruby game. The teams were Turbos VS North Harbour. It was at Palmerston North FMG Stadium at 2:35. My mum and I got to the stadium 1 hour early so we got to see the teams Warmup. At the start of the game they had Helipro  Helicopter come flying though holding a person with a ruby ball.      (this is a good way to advertise their helicopter)     The weather was very windy. The helicopter was shaking and when she had a shot she missed the barrel she was aiming for. She could of won $1000 but she still got $100 for having a go. After that the match started, it felt like the match was going on and on and on and on then finally the turbos scored, it was a try. The turbos scored again,  it was a try. The score is 10 /0 to the turbos then North scores a try. The conversion failed because the wind blew the ball away from the goal. Maybe if the wind was not blowing so hard he might of got it

Wellington zoo redevelopment up to 4.5 million dollars.

For  redevelopment that well let them put more of New Zealand's natural animals on show. But this well take up one quarter of there space and well begin latter this year.

Focus - Persuasive writing
Purpose (Why are we writing)- to persuade people to read my book.
W.A.L.T make a book trailer - Think of a book trailer as something like a movie trailer. It is a short preview designed to get people excited about your book. When designing a book trailer, you should consider the following

Success Criteria:
Persuasive phrase - Words
Good images from the book
Not too long - 1 - 2 1/2 minutes
The music fits the mood of the book - Catchy
Use the main and most interesting parts
Persuasive question? - Will the poison work?
Make sure we don't use the imovie ready made trailers
