Homework

Dear editor...

In Palmerston North there has been a big event happen. A massive high speed chase between police and four people from Wanganui this week. They were racing all around.  It went on and on and on and on, but then finally it ended outside the Palmerston North Plaza. In my opinion it was not the best of places to end because of  the large number of  people that were there. They were in a lot of danger. Police say that two cars crashed and resulted in the end of the chase. Three of them were arrested at the scene. The Plazza was shut down because police thought that the last offender might be in the plaza. But they called off the search as they could not find him. A few days later they found him in Feilding then arrested him. He is now awaiting trial.

Homework

SPEEDERS :+(.  not good.
I do not like speeders that race up and down the street pushing their poor cars to the limit. Have you ever smelt the terrible smell of their cars fumes? If you haven't then watch out it  is terrible. One time I was walking across the road with my friend Cam,  we saw two cars all the way back at the end of a long street. We thought we would be safe crossing the road but we were wrong. It only took them about three seconds to get the end of the street where me and my friend were. They did not even slow down for me and my friend. That speeder nearly hit me. Where are the police when you need them? Leave speeding to the pros and if you really want to speed take it down to a racing track for example Manfield  Race Track.

Growing seeds

This was so fun what we had to do was...
Poor seed raising mix into a small six pack gardening pot.(spread evenly) Then we got half a cup of water and pored it all over the dirt. Now make name tags for all the seeds stick it in we're you are going to put the seed in. Then put the right seed that's name maches the stick.

Homework

Jono Naylor

Jono Naylor has been re-elected for the third term as Palmerston North Mayor. The votes have been sent in the mail for the next Palmerston North Mayor and for other members of the Council. Jono Naylor must have felt very nervous waiting to hear who is the new Mayor of Palmerston North. Jono Naylor has been a very good Mayor, always writing good things in the Palmerston North News Papers and promoting local events in the community.

He has taken the time to visit our school. He has read us a very cool book. Our whole class got a chance to talk to him. We asked him a lot of questions like
what is it like being Mayor of Palmerston North. He said "sometimes the paper work can get a bit boring, but other times he gets to go to some  different places that can be quite fun.

I hope that one of his actions is that he makes more playgrounds for the big kids to play in like the  parks with rock climbing in it. Tourism, I think we need to get more tourists in town. How do we do this? We need to have more colourful parks, and more walks plus bike ways. This because I rode my bike on the road. Sometimes there are heaps of cars and speeders.  So I think something interesting like the Manawatu gorge walk with tunnels for walkers and bikers could have tracks away from traffic.  Another way how he could have more tourism is having more shops come to palmy that people like but to do all of that we need to have more hotels, so people have somewhere to stay. Getting more hotels in would attract more people in it self.

CRIME 💂💂💂 is not good at all . People might wont to come here even more if they know they will be safe. We need more hefty fines for graffiti and  littering. This is all aimed at lowering the crime rates. (One time I was walking and having a nice time, enjoying my walk, then I saw some graffiti and it ruined the walk.)
I hope Mayor Jono Naylor does a good job for our city like he did last time.

Rasil : good Callum  and you have 20mins  :D
