What have you discovered with your science learning focus in inquiry this term?

What was your overall highlight from all of this terms learning.

The value, Ngakau Tapatahi (Integrity) has been our focus this term. How have you demonstrated this value? By helping people out and doing the right thing even when know one was looking, trying my beast at my learning.

Curriculum principal Learning to learn? 

The key competency we have focused on is -Thinking

What does this look like in your learning?We were challenging our  learning by doing expererments and writing it down like science people  

What are the things that drive and support your learning? (Knowing yourself as a learner.) Rosie telling me to keep on going and I well get, and when I am really stuck just a little bit of help.

What excited you about the writing this term or made you feel successful? When I new what I was doing and it was hard but I could still do it.

What are your next steps in writing? Doing neater writing  and use more , . ? " to make my writing more interesting.

How do you know what you’re learning to get better at and what quality work will look like? More interesting words that describe more.

Our Year's Overall Theme has been reach for the stars, what might this look like for your learning next term. What questions does this make you think of? What would you like to explore? I would like to explore more in science and art. One of my questions would  be why are water colours more light and easier to get of paper?s

Iris pushes her way past piles of people to get to the talent show when they get there. There are some hip hoppers on stage and she says"sorry me and Sydney  are late" to the director. Then they turn and see Sydney's mum and dad, then she turns and sees Paddy, her friend. Paddy says"Iris I was scared that you might not make it". Iris says "we almost did not. Paddy stars at Iris. She says"where is your ukulele" OMG in all this excitement I forgot my ukulele. How are they going to do their song with our it? Morgan over  hears. He says "I have an idea, wait hear". 

Then the man calls their act up, they don't know what to do. Then Morgan comes back.  Morgan says " here you can borrow this". It is the shiny purple ukulele from the shop.

 All teams will get CDs, ticks to fun parks and $50. Then finally the winners are (it did not say who the winners were but I think they did not win because they got $50  and the winners get $100. Iris spent her prize money on presents for people who helped her with the talent show and a shiny metal money box for her self. She wants to save up for a new shiny ukulele.

 A shark comes up a shark a shark comes down,

One takes a bite one opens up, If we do not care we will not share, the gloriously sharp  toothed shark, lets be brave save a life and a fin from a knife the poor sharks is in strife.

Iris arrives at school just before the  school bell goes. She has just sat down then she thinks I need to talk to Sydney. So she tears a peace paper out of her book and writes we need to talk. They think that they are both sorry that they could not do the same song for the talent show. "Wait" Iris says. "Wait I want to  do a vampire act and you want to do a wolf act that rhymes. We should an act together". Sydney says "that's great". They catch the bus then there is a stop sign, the bus zooms off again. There is a big pile up of cars in front of them. If they do not make it to the talent show, all of the effort would be for nothing.

On the weekend there was a  ruby game. The teams were Turbos VS North Harbour. It was at Palmerston North FMG Stadium at 2:35. My mum and I got to the stadium 1 hour early so we got to see the teams Warmup. At the start of the game they had Helipro  Helicopter come flying though holding a person with a ruby ball.      (this is a good way to advertise their helicopter)     The weather was very windy. The helicopter was shaking and when she had a shot she missed the barrel she was aiming for. She could of won $1000 but she still got $100 for having a go. After that the match started, it felt like the match was going on and on and on and on then finally the turbos scored, it was a try. The turbos scored again,  it was a try. The score is 10 /0 to the turbos then North scores a try. The conversion failed because the wind blew the ball away from the goal. Maybe if the wind was not blowing so hard he might of got it

A new type of shark breed has just been discovered. It is called the bamboo shark but it's colour is brown and white. This new specie of shark can walk the the new breed to walk. They have just discovered this new breed in Australia and  Papua New Guinea. These are good sharks because they have no intention to harm you. The sharks hunt for food at night and the shark walk on the ocean floor using its fins as legs  looking for small fish although their fins are small.  Their maximum size is 80cm and the main colours for this shark is brown and white. When they go out to hunt at night they do not like attacking big fish because they only eat small fish.

Iris thinks this Monday morning is not like any other morning because this Monday morning she is going to make a statement, a fashion statement. She has tried for ages trying to make a cool outfit. She is wondering if  her friends will like it. She walks into her classroom, she can not see Sydney, her teacher is just writing on the white board. Morgan jumps up saying we have the same tops , Iris is thinking out of all of her tops why did she have to wear this one. Then she jumps up again saying loud enough for the whole world to hear "I have the same skirt has you". After that Iris's gran offers to look after Iris while her mum goes to town. Iris's mum says "thanks", then her gran puts a box next door to Iris's bed. Gran says it is James's old records. Iris says thanks.
